I collaborated with artist Steve Roden to design a series of books reflecting the breadth of his creative practice — from collections of rare ephemera to limited-edition publications showcasing his artwork. I especially enjoy working on published limited-edition works, as they invite a higher level of design problem-solving and foster collaboration rooted in artistic ingenuity. Scope of Work: Art direction, hand letterpress printing and binding, graphic design, and production.

365 X 433: Steve Roden’s 2011 performance diary titled: 365 X 433 documenting a year of daily realizations of John Cage's 4'33". The diary is roughly 400 pages and was exhibited in the “Silence Exhibition” at the Menil Collection, and at the Berkely Art Museum in January, 2013.

The Glassychord Limited edition book. Letterpress, bookcloth, monoprints and printed ephemera. Created for the exhibition “Hidden City”, which occurred in various historical sites in Philadelphia, Spring 2009. The book was part of a larger installation that also contained sculpture, watercolor paintings and two sound works.

Krazy Kids' Food: Vintage food graphics used to advertise children's products from the 1930s to the 1970s. This book features advertisements for such classics as Kool-Aid, Frosted Flakes with Tony the Tiger, and Dubble Bubble Gum. Featuring the ephemera collection of Steve Roden and Dan Goodsell. Edited by Jim Heimann at Taschen Books.
